We are looking for a Captain (General Manager) to lead the entire guest experience – and overall operations – at Moxy Aarhus. If you are a bold, energetic, and hands-on leader who thrives in the pulse of hotel life and loves building and developing a Crew that shines, this is your opportunity!

You will not only ”just” be the General Manager of a brand-new hotel – you will create the energy that makes Moxy truly stand out in Aarhus.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Overall responsibility for the entire operation at Moxy Aarhus — from Front Office and F&B to Housekeeping. You hold full P&L responsibility and drive strong revenue, sound cost control, and a solid GOP result.
   
• Play a central role in the pre-opening phase by recruiting and training the Crew, establishing daily routines, and contributing to a smooth and timely opening. You are able to build a team that understands the standards and delivers with personality.
   
• Be a naturally visible leader in daily operations and always lead from the front — supporting the Crew on the floor, solving challenges in the moment, and keeping the energy high from breakfast and check-outs to check-ins and the bar’s last guests.
   
• In addition to responsibility for the financial KPIs of the F&B area (both breakfast and bar), you are also responsible for developing a social, inspiring, and fun environment that matches the Moxy brand.
   
• Analyze guest feedback and translate insights into concrete improvements.
   
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue to ensure a profitable business and commercial growth.
   
• Actively engage in the Aarhus local community by building strong relationships that help activate the hotel, host social events, and make Moxy Aarhus a vibrant and recognizable spot in the city.
   
• Create a workplace that is energetic, inclusive, and full of Moxy attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a Captain with the right combination of hotel leadership, commercial mindset, and human energy.

Proven leadership experience in a hotel environment - preferably with responsibility for multiple departments or an entire hotel. You set direction, make sound decisions, and are able to bring people with you.

Pre-opening experience - is an advantage but not a requirement. However, the ability and willingness to work in a structured, planning-oriented, and high-paced environment is essential.

Broad operational understanding - across Front Office, Rooms, and F&B.

Strong commercial acumen - you run the business within agreed budgets and forecasts and have solid experience optimizing daily hotel sales. You are also skilled at controlling costs through cost management and key metrics. You work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue to ensure a healthy top line and strong financial performance.

Excellent leadership skills - you are hands-on, visible, and accessible - a leader who leads from the front in all settings.
