Handyman/Technician Wanted for Moxy Tromsø

Are you a practical problem solver who thrives on a variety of tasks and a dynamic work environment? We are looking for a Handyman/Technician for our Moxy hotel in Tromsø, someone who can take responsibility for maintaining our facilities and creating the best experience for our guests.

About the Position
As a Handyman/Technician, you will play a key role in the hotel’s daily operations. You ensure that our facilities are always in top condition, and both guests and colleagues experience a high standard of service and surroundings.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance of the hotel’s facilities (e.g., locks, lighting, furniture, and technical equipment).
• Conducting daily inspections to ensure everything is functioning properly.
• Liaising with external contractors and service providers when major repairs are needed.
• Setting up equipment for meetings and events and preparing common areas as required.
• Handling small technical tasks such as changing light bulbs, checking ventilation systems, and similar jobs.
• Keeping the hotel’s outdoor areas tidy and well-maintained (e.g., snow removal, sweeping, or small gardening tasks).
• Assisting with practical tasks for guests and colleagues when needed.

Who are you?
We are looking for a colleague who:

• Has experience in a similar role, such as a caretaker, technician, or handyman.
• Has a basic technical understanding and can handle tools and small repairs.
• Is responsible and works in a structured way, even in busy situations.
• Can work independently and take initiative to solve issues as they arise during the day.
• Speaks fluent Norwegian or English – and has a positive and helpful attitude.
